Highway 106

One of Missouri's least visited springs.

Travel Hwy 106 east from Eminence. You will pass Powder Mill (also worth a stop). Continuing east on Hwy 106 watch very closely for the Blue Springs turn off sign - it is easy to miss. Turn right onto a hard packed gravel road (you will travel 2.5 miles to spring).

Recommended mode of transportation is 4 wheels; however, this can be done by motorcycle. You will travel approximately 5 miles (round trip) on hard packed gravel, very curvy, narrow, washboardy and steep (especially on the trip back out). BUT... well worth a trip whether it be by cage or bike!

Amenities are limited to bathrooms and picnic tables.

This is one of Missouri's deepest springs and is located approximately 12 miles east of Eminence. The spring flows slowly from a very deep cave shaft that is situated at the base of a dolomite bluff.

Nine miles southeast of Eminence on Highway NN is Rocky Falls Shut-In. Rocky Falls is an impressive, steep cascading waterfall that pours into a large pool of water. This is a great place to have a picnic and explore the waterfall area and do some day hiking on the Ozark trail.

Comments:My husband thinks that only dirt bikes should try this trip.
